報告人簡介：

       倪磊教授是浙江師范大學(xué)特聘教授。 在復(fù)旦大學(xué)獲理學(xué)學(xué)士與碩士學(xué)位后，1998年于加州大學(xué)爾灣分校獲博士學(xué)位。先后在美國普渡大學(xué)，斯坦福大學(xué)任助理教授，2002年開始在加州大學(xué)圣地亞哥分校任教，2009年被評為終身教授。倪磊教授主要從事微分幾何、幾何分析、復(fù)幾何等方向的研究，在幾何分析、非線性偏微分方程、復(fù)幾何及相關(guān)領(lǐng)域均有一流的原創(chuàng)性工作。在 JAMS, Invent. Math., CPAM., JEMS, JDG, AJM, GAFA 等國際頂尖雜志發(fā)表SCI論文70多篇，出版專著5部。 從1998年至今連續(xù)獲美國國家自然科學(xué)基金的支持，包括重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目一項(xiàng)。倪磊教授曾獲美國斯隆獎，被美國數(shù)學(xué)學(xué)會邀請作主要大會報告，是 Proceedings of AMS，Geometric flows，Internat. J. Math. 等國際期刊編委。

報告摘要：

        In this joint work with N. Wallach we give simple direct proofs of the celebrated results of H.-C. Wang, Tits, etc. The method also gives new information which is useful for understanding some fine structure of complex homogenous manifolds.
