報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介：

      張福振，遼寧人。先后在沈陽(yáng)師范大學(xué)，北京師范大學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)和工作。1989年赴美留學(xué)，93 年獲得美國(guó)加利福尼亞大學(xué)圣巴巴拉分校(UCSB) 數(shù)學(xué)博士學(xué)位?，F(xiàn)為美國(guó)佛羅里達(dá)諾瓦東南大學(xué)教授。主要研究方向?yàn)榫仃嚪治?，線性及多重線性代數(shù)。至今發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文80余篇，著作3本。在世界各地做學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告近百次。為一些國(guó)際數(shù)學(xué)雜志編委和國(guó)際會(huì)議組委會(huì)成。曾獲諾瓦東南大學(xué)杰出教授獎(jiǎng)，上海市“海外名師”稱號(hào)。參與創(chuàng)建南佛州中國(guó)科技教育文化協(xié)會(huì)（CASEC），并曾任主席，南佛州現(xiàn)代中文學(xué)校校長(zhǎng)等職。 

報(bào)告摘要：

      Given two square matrices of the same order, we consider the eigenvalues and singular values of the sum and product of the matrices.  For example, what can be said about the sum of the largest and smallest eigenvalues of the product of two positive semidefinite matrices? This talk reviews some eigenvalue and singular value inequalities recently obtained via minimax principles. In particular, we present singular value inequalities of log-majorization type.
