報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介：

        Frank W. Nijhoff為英國(guó)Leeds大學(xué)教授、洪堡學(xué)者、英國(guó)物理學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)士 (Fellow of the Institute of Physics)，曾擔(dān)任Leeds大學(xué)應(yīng)用數(shù)學(xué)系主任。Nijhoff教授長(zhǎng)期從事離散可積系統(tǒng)的研究，是國(guó)際公認(rèn)的離散可積系統(tǒng)領(lǐng)域的領(lǐng)軍學(xué)者，擔(dān)任可積系統(tǒng)領(lǐng)域多個(gè)權(quán)威期刊主編或編委，當(dāng)選為英國(guó)皇家學(xué)Leverhulme Trust Senior Research Fellow，長(zhǎng)期擔(dān)任離散可積系統(tǒng)國(guó)際系列會(huì)議SIDE (Symmetries and Integrability of Difference Equations)指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)主席。Nijhoff教授在離散可積系統(tǒng)的直接線性化理論、多維相容理論、Lagrangian多形式理論等方面具有開(kāi)創(chuàng)性貢獻(xiàn)，多項(xiàng)研究成果發(fā)表在《Communications in Mathematical Physics》、《International Mathematics Research Notices》、《Proceedings of the Royal Society》、《Nonlinearity》等國(guó)際一流數(shù)學(xué)物理期刊。

報(bào)告摘要：

       I will review some elliptic discrete integrable systems, which are integrable partial difference equations on a 2D or 3D lattice, and are associated with an elliptic curve in the dependent variables and parameters. I will give various, examples, their Lax structure and elliptic soliton solutions. I will mention several still open problems.
