報(bào)告人簡(jiǎn)介：

       許寶剛，博士，南京師范大學(xué)教授（博士生導(dǎo)師）。主持完成國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金6項(xiàng)，參加國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目2項(xiàng)?，F(xiàn)主持國(guó)家自然科學(xué)基金重點(diǎn)項(xiàng)目1項(xiàng)。長(zhǎng)期從事圖的染色與劃分問(wèn)題的研究，在圖的染色與劃分方面做了一些有意義的工作，解決了由國(guó)際著名圖論學(xué)家所提出的一系列猜想與問(wèn)題。現(xiàn)擔(dān)任中國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)理事，中國(guó)運(yùn)籌學(xué)會(huì)常務(wù)理事，中國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)會(huì)組合數(shù)學(xué)與圖論專(zhuān)業(yè)委員會(huì)主任，中國(guó)運(yùn)籌學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)刊（英文版）Journal of the Operations Research Society of China 編委。曾任中國(guó)運(yùn)籌學(xué)會(huì)圖論與組合分會(huì)副理事長(zhǎng)。

報(bào)告摘要：

       A hole is an induced cycle of length at least 4. Let $\l\ge 2$ be an integer, and let ${\cal G}_{\l}$ be the family of graphs without cycles of length at most $2\l$ and without holes of odd length at least $2\l+1$. Plummer and Zha conjectured that all graphs in ${\cal G}_2$ are 3-colorable. Extending Plummer-Zha Conjecture, Wu, X. and Xu conjectured that graphs in $\cup_{\l\ge 2}{\cal G}_{\l}$ are 3-colorable. In this talk, we will introduce the progress on this conjecture and related problems.
